About Us
Copper City Stitchers is a brand new way to retire. Gone are the days of alarm clocks set at 5 a.m. We get to do what we like best in our own time – quilting and helping others to learn to do it too!!
Seriously, we are paying forward the knowledge and love of quilting and a little bit of everything else given us by our friend and teacher, the late Lynn Robinson of Stash Away Quilt Shoppe.
Our goal is to bring affordable, quality fabric to our local quilters and to out-of-town visitors looking for a new and different selection. We offer the Gradations and Ombres of Northcott’s Stonehenge collection, Moda, Henry Glass, Maywood Studio, etc., as well as a large selection of blenders. In fact, some of our inventory, including flannels, came from the Crazy Moose Quilt Shop in Inlet because it was their turn to retire.
Additionally, we carry wool and Valdani perle cottons for applique and hand embroidery, and we stock Mettler thread for machine piecing.
Do you want to learn how to sew? Contact us. We will plan classes in the basics for newbies or those who wish to brush up their skills, and we will ensure you have the right instructor. We are always looking for new class ideas! If you have a great idea for a class or are interested in teaching a new class for us, let us know!
Embroidery and Wool groups meet monthly. Still coming is an English Paper Piecing club. Check out our calendar for meeting times.
If you and your friends are planning a bus trip or a retreat in our area, just call to let us know that you are coming, and we will be happy to accommodate your
group.
Looking forward to seeing you!
